Have you ever wondered if the one dollar bills in your wallet/purse were ever in a stripper's butt crack?
If not, you're wondering now.

Mother's Day Weekend

Friday night Eric and I traveled to Houston to visit my parents for Mother's Day. Upon arrival, I gave my mom her gift, which was a digital picture frame. Like any good son, I had already pre-loaded it with photos - The most unflattering photos I could find of my mom, of course! After about 5 minutes of just about dying laughing while watching photo after horrible photo of my mom go by I finally pulled out the SD card and let the frame cycle through the nice pictures of our family from over the years. Mom seemed to really like it. I think the gift was a hit. =]
Saturday mom, dad, Eric and I took their boat out to the Kemah boardwalk. On the way there we looked at some of the remaining wreckage from hurricane Ike. There are still a couple sunken boats, lots of uprooted trees, boat houses that were destroyed, etc. But I was actually quite impressed with how well the area has recovered. The Kemah boardwalk itself pretty much looks as though nothing ever happened. Across the water way from it is a different story - collapsed buildings, etc. I should have taken a picture of it.
After eating queso & chips and downing a few drinks @ Cadillac Bar, we took the boat out on Galveston Bay for a little while, then decided to head in. Minutes before making it back to their neighborhood boat dock, another boat turned right in front of us, causing a huge wave to crash over our bow. We were all throughly soaked.
On Sunday we decided just to hang out by their pool. My parents are moving to a new house at the beginning of June, so it was nice being able to enjoy their backyard one last time. My dad barbecued a HUGE beef tenderloin, corn, & potatoes. All turned out awesome. Afterwards, Eric and I had to head back to Austin. Overall, it was a GREAT weekend! It's always nice visiting the parental units. =]

I don't understand why some of my friends insist on hanging out with snobs. It saddens me.

This morning Eric came home with sailboat #2. Quite a bit smaller than #1, but it should be a good boat to take out when ever he feels like it. (gosh!)
Boat #1:

Boat #2:

I should feel more comfortable about learning on the new one. I'm afraid I'll break the big boat.

Check the date, loathe your state

Well I checked the date. ...While the officer was writing me a ticket for expired registration. DOH!
Yes, it was my fault, so I'm really not all that upset.
Update: Thankfully the ticket can be dismissed. I'll end up paying $20 - not bad.
